For those confused about the functions of the multitude of skincare products, and the multi-step beauty routine, here is the lowdown. First, the steps. Note that you don’t have to follow all the steps, just what works for you. For each step, only one product is necessary (except for cleansing because you need to get skin thoroughly clean). O&M Conquer Blonde Silver Shampoo

Bottle blondes, this shampoo will help keep cool tones (that include greys, ash blue etc.) salon-fresh for longer. Pour this into your hand and you get a deep iodine blue shampoo that foams up easily. The true blue formula prevents the hair colour from turning brassy, especially for Asian hair with warm undertones. (Nothing I hate more than brassiness in light hair, makes the colouring job look cheap.) I have done my research on O&M, and they are one of the few haircare brands that understand the intricate science of hair colouring, and the need for formulas that are not chemical laden. Their products are always innovative and one-of-a-kind too. In Singapore, O&M products are available in Sephora and selected stores.

Go Jun Hee for M.A.C?

I am loving this cross-cultural thing that is going on in the beauty industry. According to Korean celebrity Go Jun Hee’s Instagram, she could be the new face of M.A.C. That, or there will be a new M.A.C x Go Jun Hee collection hitting stores soon. Would you buy it? I am still loving her hair, btw.

YG Entertainment’s Moonshot in Seoul

Yes. The Koreans from the South are so good at raking in the moolah. K-pop manufacturer YG Entertainment, responsible for the uber popular Big Bang, 2NE1 and PSY, has its own cosmetics brand Moonshot. So K-pop fans can have a shot at looking a little like their idols (without having to go for surgery). Launched around a year ago, the flagship store is mapped on the Gyeongbukgong area (along the main street of restaurants and boutiques). It’s hard to miss the stylish block. And inside, you will be served by a men-only make-up artist team… The store offers both colour cosmetics and skincare. I got my hands on five of these Jelly Pot eyeshadows that are intensely pigmented and the colours are beautifully shimmery. And how often do you come across metallic magenta and peachy coral shadows? I had to grab them. —- The second floor of the store (above) is designed for classes and workshops. Just so you get an idea of how the make-up looks..here are some screengrabs of a Moonshot xTablo Youtube …

Badger Sleep Balm & Foot Balm

Calmness in a tin. If you are an organic-addict, then I’m sure you have Badger products from the US of A in your stash. If you are an organic-addict and don’t know about Badger, you are in for a treat. These balms come in handy tins and smell fantastic. They are a concoction of essential oils that melt upon the touch of warm finger tips. Then just rub the oils into the desired areas. The sleep balm helps you well, sleep…it has extra virgin olive oil, castor oil, beeswax, bergamot, lavender rosemary, ginger and balsam fir. When you are feeling panicky, or can’t sleep in a hotel room, just rub it on the temples, nostrils and chest. — The foot balm? For achey feet after a day in heela. Contains extra virgin olive oil, castor oil, beeswax, jojoba oil, essential oila of rosemary, peppermint, cardamom, tea tree, eucalyptus and balsam fir. I’ve long heard about these balms and finally got my first sniff of these at a local pharmacy. And bought them immediately. I like …

Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Fallen From The Lipstick Tree in So Marilyn

A rich and moisturising deep, true red. With this face, how can anyone not want to get their hands on this lipstick? So much Tom Ford vibes here (well, maybe because Tilbury helped Ford develop his beauty line…and worked with him season after season) Its texture is not as glossy as the one on the model’s lip, so you have to layer some vava voom red gloss over like YSL’s Vernis A Levre in no.9. To me, there is nothing better than a gorgeous red lipstick to make you feel like a goddess.

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek To Chic Swish & Pop Blusher in Ecstasy

This bronze and pink best-selling blush from Tilbury suits my skin tone best. Its name is so cute; called Swish & Pop because you swish the outer shade with the brush and tap onto the cheekbones. Then dab brush on the shade in the centre, and pop it onto the apples of cheeks for added definition. A fine gold shimmer in the powder gives skin a subtle highlight too. The gilded compact adds on to the luxe factor.

Laneige Two-tone Lip Bar

This is the most fun lipstick I have seen in awhile. Laneige’s new Two-tone Lip Bars let you have those ombre sunset effect lips in a jiffy. There are around ten shades available, and this one is obviously my fave. (Anything bright is my default choice.) I treated the colour of the picture above…so here is a more accurate depiction of this gorgeous shade called Neon Juice. It is reddish-orange and a pretty pink. With one slick, this is the effect you will get. If you want the brighter shade to be on the outside, and the lighter one on the inside, you just have to slick on the rectangular-shaped lipstick bullet accordingly. Run, and get it now.
