The new lip formula by South Korean beauty brand Hera is not for the faint-hearted. The colours are bright and pigmented; even though the texture is a relatively watery liquid. Fortunately, a spade-shaped applicator with a fine tip makes spreading the lip colour on precisely, easy. The sponge-tip soaks up just enough liquid to dispense a thin layer that stains the pout. Just two coats will give lips an intense shade, and high-shine. The dry-down is not immediate though; so give it some time before you drink. Hera Sensual Tint is available in 10 flattering shades.
The spanking new 460 sq ft Hera boutique is a shining jewel of an addition to the luxurious Ion Orchard’s Basement 1, which has become a dedicated beauty floor of the mall. Local fans of the premium South Korean make-up brand known for its bright lipstick colours and fashionable aesthetic have long traipsed to Seoul to get their fix. Now, they can make their way downtown Singapore to snap up the full 250+ SKU range of Hera’s products which include skincare items. To add glamour to the occasion, K-drama superstar and the face of Hera, Gianna Jun graced the opening of the store. The opening of the boutique was also accompanied by the launch of its latest third-generation UV Mist Cushion (for dewy glossy skin, S$68), Lip Gel Crush (shiny, bright colours, S$45), and the Exceptional EDP (S$108 for 30ml). Hera’s first boutique in Singapore is located at ION Orchard, 2 Orchard Turn #B2-37, Singapore 238868.
Hera’s lipsticks have always been the brand’s most iconic products. The technology behind the formulas, top-notch. The smooth glide, even distribution of skin tone-flattering colours, and long-lasting formula make the Rouge Holic range a winner. The matte-textured options go on with a velvety finish, and stains the lips evenly even; after a meal. While this matte lipstick is non-drying, exfoliation is a must for the perfect pout. The cream version is more moisturising, has a glossier finish, and the colours look more intense. All in reds, corals and pinks that complement pink and yellow-toned fairer skin.
