Imagine: a “wardrobe” for your cushion foundation. Armani Beauty has gone to that level of extra, for you.
In a market where products are rejuvenated every couple of years to keep up with consumers’ fickle tastes, the formula of the classic YSL Beauty’s Touche Eclat has not been revamped for years, apparently. And for good reason. The sleek highlighter click-pen conceals dark circles and dusky areas of the face (corners of the mouth, sides of the nose) seamlessly. And it adds a glow to the cheekbones, cupid’s bow, décolleté, and anywhere else you want the light to hit. Now, YSL Beauty has bottled the soft candle-lit glow you get from the Touche Eclat pen, into a tube of foundation. So you get a soft iridescence to the skin, and light to medium coverage with this light and hydrating easy-to-blend gel-cream textured All-In-One-Glow Foundation.
Luxury Korean beauty brand Sulwhasoo has upped the ante on its cushion offerings. Come January 2018, it will be launching the second-generation of its bestselling Perfecting Cushion EX that first debuted in 2013. Infused with the subtle fragrance of ginseng (its extracts are a key skincare ingredient), the formula also moisturises with hyaluronic acid-boosting beta glucan and protects with antioxidants. The new Perfecting Cushion EX boasts quick and even fuss-free coverage to give you a more flawless-looking complexion. Each pat of the thin flocked sponge dispenses just the right amount of product on the skin, so you spend less time blending it out. Tip: patting the sponge on skin; instead of gliding it on the skin and pulling it – gives you more coverage and less wrinkles. Coverage is medium to high with a dewy radiance, and long-lasting. The new cushion will also be available in four additional lighter and deeper shades (ivory beige no.17; honey pink no.31, sand beige no.27, and amber beige no.37), bringing the total number to 10. Both no.37 and no.31 are …
So easy for the weekends: Stick foundation that melts upon contact with warm skin. Glide it on skin and blend with finger tips. Offers creamy but lightweight, sheer to medium coverage. Satin-matte finish. Relatively long-lasting
Made for quick and easy application, the “cushion stick” is a cream foundation in a twist-bottle. The sponge applicator is shaped like a fat donut, with the lightweight formula dispensed through the hole in the middle. So all you have to do is twist for one pump of the foundation, tap it onto the skin, and blend with the applicator. This product offers light to medium coverage with a satin-matte finish.
The most beautifully-blended eyeshadow and perfectly-lined lipstick will not be noticed if the complexion is not flawless and luminous.
