The most beautifully-blended eyeshadow and perfectly-lined lipstick will not be noticed if the complexion is not flawless and luminous.
And while most are unfaithful to brands of lipstick, blusher, and eyeshadows, they tend to stock up on tried-and-tested foundations.
Perhaps that is why foundation alone can make up 50 per cent of a brand’s make-up sales.
Nars’ two new complexion cosmetics will now be part of my regular makeup arsenal.
The skin tint is actually a SPF30 sunscreen. Its texture is not thick and heavy like most sun protection creams. Instead, it has a lightweight mousse texture that is easy to blend, and buildable without looking pasty.
The coverage it provides is light to medium, with a satin-matte finish (over-the-top dewiness is so 2015).
Throughout the day, my skin stayed nicely matte with a subtle glow and natural-looking finish.
The Radiant Creamy Concealer is a perfect pairing with the skin tint.
The formula is creamy and packed with pigments, so a teeny blob was all I needed to hide my blemishes.
This concealer also impressed me as it adds radiance to the skin without making it look greasy. It worked well to hide both acne scars and dark undereye circles.
