Three Angelic Synthesis Foundation Serum

Japanese label Three Cosmetics’ skincare infused foundation line has been extended with the new – interestingly named – Angelic Synthesis Foundation Serum (S$85). Containing botanical oils and extracts, the foundation is also made with fine powders that mattifies the skin while lending it radiance. A serum-infused foundation that supplements the skincare routine is always a good idea. Lightweight and relatively long-lasting, this foundation gives the skin a more matte finish than Three’s Flawless Ethereal Fluid Foundation. Ideal for those with an oilier skin texture or living in humid conditions. Available in ten shades, the Angelic Foundation is also free of skin-irritating UV-absorbing agents, parabens, and mineral oils. To complement this “bare-skin” makeup routine, Three also launches the Airlift Smoothing Wand concealer stick (S$55) and Ultimate Diaphanous Loose Powder (S$75).

Kat Von D Lock-It Foundation

So much has been said about Kat Von D’s signature Lock-It Foundation. Here’s what I think about it: It is pigmented and evens out redness and hides other imperfections quickly. Apparently, it can even hide tattoos too. The shades are on-point; I’m Asian with with a rosy-golden complexion, and Light 44 melds seamlessly with my natural skin tone. So I don’t look like I’m wearing foundation. Once on, the foundation does not transfer, or oxidise, and is long-lasting. I applied this foundation with warm fingertips, my favourite method to get a flawless-looking complexion. And I found this formula rather dry, without the slip that I usually prefer when blending on foundations. But perhaps its thick, paint-like consistency is what allows it to stick well to the skin. So prep your skin thoroughly with skincare before layering this foundation on. Matte finish. I prefer satin matte or dewy textures, so I spritzed on some skincare mist to add a glow to my skin. The mist also helped to add a hydrating layer on top of this …

Estee Lauder Genuine Glow Collection

Exclusively at Sephora Estee Lauder counters, the new Genuine Glow collection is inspired by the signature dewy-skin glow of the K-Beauty trend. The five products in the collection are all made for giving you that effortless, fresh-faced, au natural make-up look. Wear these to the gym, or just to look like you just hit the gym. These fuss-free products are easy to carry around and apply on-the-go; some are even multi-tasking. The Reviving Oil Lip Tint comes in a click-pen that dispenses the glossy gel-balm through a silicon applicator. The product is easily absorbed, and does not leave behind a greasy after feel. It made my lips feel soft and just ever so slightly poutier due to the minty formula. This product is also a lip tint, which left my lips with a natural-looking, just-bitten pink.   The Priming Moisture Balm leaves skin with a silky finish, so your foundation sits better on the skin, and lasts longer. While it is hydrating, wear this primer over lotion, serum and moisturiser for best results. It also …
