Choi Soo Young’s beauty secrets

Girls’ Generation’s Choi Soo Young, princess of K-Pop, is now the new face of SK-II’s #OneBottleAwayFrom campaign.

The 27-year-old is also an accomplished actress.

She shares beauty tips with The Beauty Gazette.

What is your current skincare routine like? I focus on thorough cleansing and toning. Then I like using a lightweight and moisturising essence to pamper my skin. My current favourite is the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence, because it is easily absorbed by my skin and gives me a glow with the Pitera, amino acids and vitamins. It has become a staple in my beauty routine.

How do you treat the issues you have with your skin? My skin type is dry. To soothes and moisturise my skin, I like to soak a few pieces of cotton pads with lots of SK-II Facial Treatment Oil, and leave it on my face at night; like a mask. This oil is lightweight and non-greasy. It also has a fragrant lavender scent that helps me to relax for a good sleep, so I wake up with happy skin.

What tricks do you rely on to look good before a big event? I soak cotton pads with the Facial Treatment Essence and leave them on my face like a mask for a minute. It makes my skin moisturised and radiant. After removing the cotton pads from my face, I apply the remaining essence on the dry areas of my body, such as my elbows and neck.

What lifestyle habits do you adopt to to keep your skin healthy? I practice yoga regularly. I’m a huge fan of hardcore yoga that gives me a really good workout. Perspiring from intense yoga sessions is a good way for my body to detox, giving my skin a healthy glow.

What’s next for you? With the rest of the girls, we’re celebrating Girls’ Generation’s 10th year anniversary with a new album. I’m also preparing for an upcoming TV drama, as part of my collaboration with SK-II in the #OneBottleAwayFrom Challenge.
